The site
In addition to its internal demonstration sites, HEALTH-ER establishes an Open Pilot Programme inviting hospitals, clinics and healthcare providers from across Europe to test and evaluate the project’s tools, services and methodologies in real operational environments. This extends the project’s impact beyond the consortium, enabling external organisations to benefit directly from the SOC-as-a-Service platform, AI-based detection tools, self-assessment guidelines and training resources developed within HEALTH-ER.
Challenges
Participating organisations are given access to tailored evaluation kits, technical support, and guidance on formulating their own technical plans and integrating HEALTH-ER solutions into their infrastructures. The Open Pilot emphasises hands-on experimentation, allowing participants to validate cybersecurity measures, assess compliance with EU frameworks such as NIS2, GDPR and the Cyber Resilience Act, and contribute feedback that refines the tools. It also fosters a collaborative learning community, enabling knowledge exchange, joint workshops and benchmarking of cybersecurity readiness across different healthcare contexts.
Objectives
- Give external healthcare providers access to selected HEALTH-ER tools, services and methodologies.
- Support participants in preparing their own preparedness assessment and technical plans.
- Run training, benchmarking and feedback activities across a range of healthcare contexts.
- Generate cross-country evidence for replication and uptake beyond the project.
